Hi! I am Kimberly Ward. I was born and raised in McLeansville, NC. I am
currently raising my family in Randolph County. I attended Alamance Community
College, and I am a graduate of Durham Technical Community college with associate in
applied science degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant. I have experience working
as a Certified Nursing Assistant/nursing technician on Cardiac Pulmonary Unit prior to
becoming an OTA. I completed Fieldwork II at Moses Cone Rehabilitation Services and
Alamance Regional Pediatric Outpatient services. “Since graduating college, I have worked in
long term care for 16 years, in which 9 of those years I was the Director of Rehabilitation
in the facility. Since November of 2020, I have been working at Kidd’s Connect OT.
I was led to this occupation after my great grandmother received Occupational
therapy services after falling and having a broken hip. I watched her therapy session as
a young girl and knew I wanted to help others. I have always had a big place in my
heart to serve geriatrics and children. I worked in long term care for several years and
assisted in caring for my grandparents. I decided to end my career in geriatrics after
having children of my own to serve the pediatric population. I love my career and
helping my clients thrive!!
