Leslie Kidd started Kidd’s Connect Occupational Therapy (OT) in 2020 with the vision of
helping her community by providing occupational therapy services in Asheboro in a clinic
and home setting. She envisioned a clinic with a small family setting where kids and their
families would come and feel at home. With a passion for children, she wanted to help
as many as possible, as she worked alongside other OTs with the same passion. There
are many children in need who struggle with the challenges of disabilities that affect their
daily functioning, the ability to go out in the community, and their ability to learn. She
wanted to create a clinic to help as many families as possible improve their quality of life
and independence with the overall objective of assisting them to achieve the small goals
that make a huge difference in their lives.
Kidd’s Connect OT provides a holistic approach to occupational therapy with a focus on
evaluating and treating each child’s needs regardless of the diagnosis or lack of
diagnosis. They strive to work with the child in every aspect of his/her life, including
family, community, school, and other therapy services they may receive. To gain
maximal benefits, it is important to look at the child from these different angles and how
their skills/deficits affect every area of their lives. The goal of Kidd’s Connect OT is to
integrate evaluation, treatment, and services, implementing a home program so that they
can be successful in all environments.
